Here is a picture of my 2010 Fleetwood Discovery 40G. We are planning on exploring the US with our Grandchildren before they are too old to want to do this.

I joined this forum to learn about Motorhoming in Europe as our Son lives in France and we would love to also Explore Europe.

I would love to learn the differences between the continents regarding Motorhomes.

Welcome to the forum. My Hymer would make a useful little runabout for your rig!! It must be wonderful having such a luxurious place to move around in.

Where in France does your son live?

France is extremely welcoming to Motor Homes (Camping Cars, as they call them), as we discovered when we moved here two and a half years ago. There are facilities for them everywhere. You should certainly make your way over to France and get your son to organise the rental of a Camping Car for you with which to explore Europe.

We got the big rig to live in full time and travel extensively with our children and the grandkids. I know, a bit obsessive, but it comfortably sleeps 8 with the bunk beds. If you want to drool some more our dealer has a great website with lots of interior pictures. He has sold several rigs to Europeans that toured the US before shipping them to Europe. The dealers site is www.demartini.com.

Our Son lives in l'etang la ville near St. Germaine. I bought the book, "Europe by Van and Motorhome" by David Shore and Patty Campbell which recommends BW campers in Amsterdam for Sales or Rentals (or sale/buyback), but the prices looked too high.
